The Miyoo Mini and Miyoo Mini Plus share the same chip and the same software, but they are different devices in the hand. The Plus is the one most people should buy, but the Mini has its own appeal.
Performance is the same
Both use a SigmaStar SSD202D with 128 MB of RAM. Both play Game Boy through PS1 well, with the same limits on N64 and Dreamcast (effectively not playable). If you are choosing between them, performance is not a factor.
Screen and size
The Miyoo Mini has a 2.8 inch 640x480 IPS screen. The Miyoo Mini Plus has a 3.5 inch 640x480 IPS screen. The Plus is noticeably easier to read for text-heavy games, and its larger body is more comfortable for longer sessions. The Mini is the more pocketable of the two.
Battery
The Mini has a 2000 mAh swappable battery. The Plus has a 3000 mAh swappable battery. The Plus lasts longer between charges.
Which should you buy?
Choose the Miyoo Mini if you want the absolute smallest device and play mostly in short bursts. Choose the Miyoo Mini Plus if you want the bigger screen, longer battery, and more comfortable grip, because for most people the Plus is the better daily device.
